Dr. Su Hla Han
Dr. Su Hla Han is the Co-Founder and President of the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN), a leading national non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing women-led businesses and supporting local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across various sectors in Myanmar. Under her leadership, MYANWEN focuses on empowering young women entrepreneurs and promoting the sustainability of local MSMEs, contributing to the country’s socioeconomic development.
Dr. Su is also actively spearheading vocational training programs aimed at helping communities rebuild resilience following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that affected central regions of Myanmar, including Naypyitaw, Mandalay, and Sagaing.
Dr Su Hla Han has earned her MBBS degree from the University of Medicine (1) Yangon in 1990, Diploma in Food Technology from the Yangon Institute of Technology in 1995, MBA from the University of Melbourne in 2013, and Doctor of Business Administration from the PPA School Paris in 2022.
Dr. Su Hla Han is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Medi Myanmar Group Limited, established since 1991. The company operates not only in the pharmaceutical industry but also serves as the official and exclusive distributor of prestigious international brands such as Estée Lauder, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics and L’Occitane.
Beyond her professional and academic accomplishments, Dr. Su is deeply committed to grassroots initiatives that empower communities throughout Myanmar. She actively supports capacity-building programs that create opportunities for small businesses to gain access to finance, markets, knowledge, and information.
Dr. Su is the founder and President of International Federation of BPW MYANMAR. Her dedication to advancing BPW’s goals of fostering the professional, business, and leadership growth of women globally, through initiatives focused on advocacy, mentoring, networking, skills development, and economic empowerment, is a significant asset to the organization.
